Barcelona offers a wide selection of properties for sale

The Eixample and Sarrià-Sant Gervasi are the areas of Barcelona ​​that recorded the highest activity of the real estate market in the Catalan capital. This is evidenced by the large real estate agencies that indicate that actually in these areas are concentrated one of each three residential properties of all 12,150 objects that are available for sale in Barcelona at this moment.

In particular, The Eixample, with 17.93%, and Saria-Sant Gervasi, with 15.61%, lead top the list of the housing offer in the capital of Catalonia. They are followed by the area of ​​Sant Marti, with 1,670 objects, that is, 13.73% of the total; and by the old town (Ciutat Vella), with 1,629 objects, or 13.40%.

On the other hand, the data provided by the real estate agencies in Barcelona show that the areas, where apartments and houses are put on sale less frequently, are Nou Barris, with 786 objects or 6.46% of the total; Sant Andreu, 642 houses and apartments for sale; and Gracia with 774 objects, or 5.28%.

In addition, the data suggest that during the year 2016, the price of second-hand real estate in these areas was the highest of all Barcelona, ​​namely, the average price of the Eixample was about 4,610 euros per m2 and in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi – about 4,818 euros per m2. These figures were recorded in the report on the value of residential property in Barcelona, ​​published by the portal Idealista.

Therefore, we can say that in the last year the price of second-hand property in Spain began its return to normal development. However, almost all the Spanish provinces have reduced their offer of second-hand real estate. The sales made last year in the province of Barcelona, ​​meanwhile, amounted to 3,864 objects on average per month.
