“Festa Major de Gràcia” is the most important holiday in Villa de Gràcia (one of the most popular areas of Barcelona). During this holiday the streets of the district are decorated in colorful patterns, to the delight of residents and numerous visitors. It is celebrated during the week from 15 August to Saturday 23 August.
Although the origin of the festival dates back to the nineteenth century, every year it is visited by hundreds of thousands of people. And it is also one of the busiest holidays in Barcelona, with constant activities organized during the week: concerts, beer tastings, competitions, seminars, sporting events, parades, human towers, outdoor dinners, theater, exhibitions, and much more. Undoubtedly it is also one of the most prestigious events in the decorated streets and balconies of various thematic recycled materials that organize and prepare the neighbors in the previous days, so that everyone could enjoy and choose their favorite decoration.
