Statistics of selling property in Spain

According to official data of the Council of Notaries of Spain, the number of operations on purchase and sale of real estate in the country decreased by 22, 2 % in November 2013. Sales of new properties decreased by 59.6% , while of the secondary real estate objects by 6.6 %. According to statistics of notaries, who must record necessarily all real estate transactions in Spain, the property values fell by 10.2 % in November 2013 . Also decreased significantly the number of mortgage loans, namely by 30.6%.

Purchase and sale of Spanish real estate continues to decline, and this nothing can stop until now. As data from the National Statistics Institute of Spain, and also the data from the Council of Notaries of the country, confirm this reality prevailing in the country of the Iberian Peninsula. In the case of statistics, represented by Notaries in Spain, according to official data reduction of real estate transactions amounted to 22.2 % from last November 2013 , compared with the same month of the last year.

By property type, sales of apartments in Spain fell by 26.6%. Also was provided data on new and resale properties. In this case, the new property has been sold in November, 59.6 % less, and secondary – 6.6 %.

Official data also touched the cost per square meter at the end of 2013. 1.166 euro for 1 m2 – this is the result of the presented statistics, which means that prices decreased by 10.2 %.

In the case of apartments available for free sale, price cut for 1 m2 was 7.5 %, which in monetary terms is 1.294 euros. The new property in Spain also registered a decline in cost per square meter, by 4.6% or till 1.524 euros. At the same time, the price for 1 m2 in the townhouse in November 2013 amounted to 953 euros, or 9.7 % less than last year.

In addition, the official statistics of the Council of Notaries of Spain notes a marked decrease in the number of mortgage loans issued to the population to purchase the property, both new and secondary. In November 2013 the decline was by 30.6% , compared with last year's figures . Average amount of issued loan was 115,408 euros, which is 7.1 % less than in November 2012 .
