In Barcelona, like in many cities of Europe, this Thursday begins the celebration of traditional annual Carnival. This year's event will be the main venue of El Born district and its new cultural center “Born”. Colorful carnival processions and parades will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2. The city was preparing for a grand celebration of Carnival in 2014, because it is one of the liveliest and most awaited festivals as by the locals and also by many visitors to the city. The colorful celebration will last from 27 February to 5 March 2014.
The beginning of Carnival 2014 on Thursday February 27 would be marked by traditional activities such as visit to the city of King Carnival 2014 with loud music, greeting the public and support 7 ” ambassadors ” , symbolizing the seven sins. These days in Barcelona everything is possible ! The celebration of Carnival will finish on March 5 with the traditional burial of the Sardine, which marks the end of winter and the beginning of long-awaited spring.
