World-known magazine Forbes in November 2013 for the first time published a list of the 100 richest Spaniards with the assessment of their fortune. According to this list Madrid and Catalonia have the same number of millionaires, but with different total capital, which is owned by these businessmen. In each of these Spanish provinces reside 25 millionaires. The November issue of the magazine also contains descriptions of the most promising areas of the Spanish economy.

Forbes Magazine is one of the most respected publications of the United States of America, which is read around the world and whose opinion is listened to by millions of people. So you cannot get around without regard to its last issue in November 2013, which is of special interest. The ever increasing demand for all sorts of rankings and lists, this time led management of the publication, established in 1917, to compile a list of the 100 richest Spaniards.

To compile the list mentioned the leadership of Forbes used two main sources: the Chamber of Commerce, with its extensive database and the National Securities Commission of Values. The undisputed leader of the list is the founder and owner of a textile magnate Inditex, which includes brands such as Zara, Bershka, Oysho, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti and others, Amancio Ortega, who also is on the 3rd place in the list of the richest people in the world.
