Spain continues to exceed the travel records, as evidenced by the official figures for June 2014. The number of international visitors to the country reached a record high in June 2014, according to the news agency EFE.
The tourism sector has registered 6.600.000 international tourist arrivals in June 2014, which is 4.5% more than in 2013, which has already been outstanding for all tourist indicators. This year, already 28 million foreign tourists visited Spain.
Spain goes beyond all travel records. For example, June 2014 was the best month in history with nearly 6.6 million registered foreign tourists. The highest rate in the tourism sector in Spain, since exist the official statistics.
Spain's tourism sector, thus, is preparing to beat the last year achieved record levels. Instability of the country's main tourist competitors, especially in North Africa, is, again, the main explanation for such a significant tourism boom in Spain.
The first half of the year has already brought one of the new tourism records at the expense of Spain, namely the figure of 28 million foreign visitors. This is 7.3% more than last year. The best indicator of this was recorded in 2008, when the 26.6 million foreign tourists visited Spain.
That is, increasing the number of visitors to the country increased by more than 1.4 million people. It should be noted that the government's forecasts indicated previously the unknown good performance of the tourism sector in Spain.
In fact, according to experts, this high tourist season, which is summer 2014, will end with a growth of 1.7% year on year. If such high growth rates will hold, according to forecasts, thus on December 31, 2014 Spain will be visited by 63 million foreign tourists, compared with the figure of 60.6 million people in 2013.
